The Rack Revival IR Pack II is a massive undertaking of impulse response creation, directly from some of the most iconic digital effects processors ever made:

LEXICON PCM41

LEXICON PCM42

Stereo versions with dual PCM's (41 and 42 as a stereo pair). 

ALSO... Korg DL8000R, Digitech DSP128 & Roland SDE-3000

All captured at 24-bit / 48kHz, using a pristine mastering grade converters, to preserve the width, depth, and character these units are famous for — without the noise floor, menu-diving, or hardware maintenance.

***There is no way to change the delay time on the delay IR’s.  It’s just limitation of this style of technology.  They’re really intended as an always on delay, the way Andy Timmons, EVH, Lukather, and those guys have the delay on and it creates an ambience around the tone, not so much like The Edge with a tight BPM delay.

***Creating rack gear IR's is tricky.  I'm made my best effort to accurately capture these to the best level that IR technology offers.  If you find an anomaly please let me know, and I'll try to correct it.

  • Hardware IR loaders (with sufficient IR length, please check your hardware manual.  These are not the same as cabinet IR’s)

*Impulse Responses perfectly capture the tone, space, and character of classic reverbs and delays, but they do not capture time-based modulation like chorus, flange, or pitch shift. Because modulation constantly changes over time, convolution can only take a “snapshot” of the sound. For that reason, only the reverb and delay-based textures were captured for this pack.
